OvS Goes to ASLA’s Annual Meeting & Expo

The American Society of Landscape Architects’ Annual Meeting and Expo takes place in Chicago beginning this week. Billed as “the largest gathering of landscape architecture professionals and students in the world,” the Expo features more than 130 continuing education courses and workshops and an exhibit hall featuring hundreds of products, services, technology applications and design solutions.

OvS principals Lisa Delplace and Sheila Brady will be making presentations at the annual event this weekend. They’ll be joining thousands of landscape architects in the Windy City, home to Chicago Botanic Garden, home to multiple OvS commissions, including the Gardens of the Great Basin, the Daniel F. and Ada L. Rice Plant Conservation Science Center, and the Kleinman Family Cove, among others.

Drawing from her extensive work at the New York Botanical Garden, Sheila will present “A Varied Pallet: Design and Function of Water Features at the NYBG Native Plant Garden” on Friday. On Sunday, Lisa will participate in a panel discussion called “Collaborate, Not Compete: A New Paradigm for Design.”

Last year the firm was the recipient of the 2014 Landscape Architecture Firm Award.
