John B. Murray’s Book Launch

Contemporary Classical Architecture, a series of case studies, is available now.

On September 25th, OvS Senior Associate Robert Johnson attended a party that at the New York Public Library that celebrated architect John B. Murray’s new book, Contemporary Classical Architecture. The book, written by John B. Murray and Elizabeth Brooke Murray, includes a foreword by the venerable interior designer Bunny Williams.

The book illustrates 15 different contemporary classic residences, including a commission in Southern New England on which OvS collaborated with John Murray’s office. The 18th Century Horse Farm sits deep within the Titicus Reservoir Drainage Basin on the New York-Connecticut border and draws inspiration largely from its natural surroundings. The landscape is interrupted only with streams, upland paddocks and bridal paths that weave through the land in southern New England.
