The Wall of Remembrance at the Korean War Veterans Memorial Recognized with an AIA|DC Award

OvS was honored to be recognized with an AIA | DC award for our work at The Wall of Remembrance at the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC.

Congress authorized a Wall of Remembrance be added to the Korean War Veterans Memorial on the National Mall, which features the 36,000 American service members and 7,100 Koreans who died while augmenting the army during the War. Additionally, the project served to rehabilitate the memorial, a process that saw the refinishing of the stainless steel statues, renewed lettering, and updates to lighting and electrical infrastructure. OvS developed an updated planting palette for the memorial, including replacements for the hallmark linden trees that encircle the Pool of Remembrance and updates to the juniper trees in the Field of Service.
