Lisa Delplace Elevated to FASLA

OvS is pleased to announce that CEO and Principal Lisa E. Delplace is one of 22 professionals to be inducted into the American Society of Landscape Architects’ (ASLA) Council of Fellows for 2019. Lisa was recognized this week at the annual ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture in San Diego, CA.

ASLA Fellowship celebrates those “among the highest honors ASLA bestows on members and recognizes the contributions of these individuals to their profession and society at large based on their works, leadership and management, knowledge, and service.” The designation is given in recognition of exceptional accomplishments over a sustained period of time.

Lisa was accompanied by her husband Dr. Christopher McGahey, OvS Principals Eric D. Groft, FASLA and Sheila A. Brady, FASLA, OvS staff members, and friends from The Landscape Cultural Foundation (TCLF), Charles Birnbaum, FASLA + FAAR, President and CEO and Nord Wennerstrom.

Designer Lindsay Hand stated, “There was such incredible energy in the room with all of the new fellows celebrating lifetimes of achievement with their colleagues and families. The Principals all took time to acknowledge that it is possible for anyone to grow to such noteworthy statues. It’s wonderfully inspiring to witness my role models being recognized for their achievements.”

Congratulations, Lisa!
