TCLF Launches What’s Out There Houston Microsite

OvS Principal Eric Groft attended the What’s Out There Houston Weekend organized by The Cultural Landscape Foundation (TCLF), of which he is a board member. Nearly 1500 participants took part in two days of free tours of some 35 sites that showcase the diverse landscape legacy of designed and natural spaces in the United State’s fourth largest city. TCLF ‘s website now features a microsite that provides in-depth exploration of the city’s green spaces.

The What’s Out There Houston Guide provides an enriching online experience and opportunity to learn about the city’s significant landscapes, collected by geographic region, coupled with maps and overarching historical narratives. It’s a powerful tool that includes profiles of nearly 30 designers, planners and visionaries who have shaped Houston since its founding in 1837.  Those with a passion for civic landscapes will enjoy perusing the larger What’s Out There, TCLF’s free digital database that features 1,900 landscapes throughout the United States and includes 900 designer biographies and 10,000 images.
