Sheila Brady Lectures at the Northwest Flower & Garden Show

OvS Principal Sheila Brady is participating in the Northwest Flower & Garden Show in Seattle, Washington.

She will serve as a judge for the show’s garden competition and give two talks, one that will discuss the firm’s work on the New York Botanical Garden’s Native Plant Garden and another that will delve into the firm’s regional design aesthetic and history.

Sheila will present “The Inspired Landscape: The New York Botanical Garden’s Native Plant Garden” on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 10:30 a.m., and “New American Gardens: A Regional Approach to Garden Design” on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 11:45 a.m.

Landscape professionals from throughout the Pacific Northwest will create 20 marquee display gardens in the Washington State Convention Center for the 29th annual event. Designers will incorporate the show’s theme, “Taste of Spring” into gardens that celebrate food, embracing trends in organic and urban gardening, and sustainability. In addition to lectures and ‘how to’ sessions, the event also provides opportunities for garden aficionados to peruse more than 300 exhibit booths where they can buy plants, gardening products, and artwork.
